Are you looking for a work-at-home job, but a little worried about the company’s stability?
Have you tried checking on Glassdoor and Reddit for reviews but didn’t see very many?
Would you feel more comfortable knowing the company has been around 10 years or longer?
Keep reading then. This article will give you a list of work-at-home customer service jobs in a variety of fields that have had the stability to stay in business for at least 10 years.
Why Work-At-Home Jobs and Why a Longevity of 10+ Years?
Let’s face it! Working at home is great! Since 2008, I should know. While I was building my virtual assistant practice, GBS Virtual Office Solutions, I used a variety of work-at-home companies on the side while I signed up the much coveted, good-paying private clients. That was my financial safety net. So, whether you just want something to supplement your current income, your retirement income or your newly formed business—work from home jobs can be a financial lifesaver.
However, like anything you have to know how to navigate and look for those which are NOT scams, rip-offs or “fly-by-nights” which could leave without even paying you. Believe me, I have heard, seen, and experienced quite a bit in this arena. So, take my advice and do your homework.
Generally the longer the company has been around, the more stable they are. Even if their reputation is not the best, at least you should be able to find a few reviews on them from someone, somewhere! However, my findings have been if a company has been around 10+ years, then they have a good reputation. They would not be able to stay in business otherwise.
However, over the years, some companies have changed their names as they have grown or as they have merged with other companies to offer more services and technology platforms. Generally, in the work-at-home world, a name change is not uncommon and not something to be overly concerned about.
