Maybe you have always dreamed of working from home, but just didn’t know how or what to do once you came home. However, now since your employer has sent you home to wait out a cure for the coronavirus, the dream is starting to be rekindled.
With fear running rampant over the Covid-19 more commonly known as the coronavirus, you may be wondering what to do next. You may be asking questions such as, “Should I forget about working on my dream business or should I just forget ever having an independent livelihood?”
What Are Some of the Other Questions That You May Be Having?
Of course, there are other questions such as:
- Should I quit marketing my goods or services for now?
- Should I even bother finishing my website or just let it sit?
- Should I hunker down and just wait for a better time to do this whole thing?
While I don’t know how the outcome of this whole coronavirus will play out, I do know a thing or two about starting and running a business. I started my business in 2007 just when the real estate market was getting ready to crash and the Wall Street bailouts were coming. Remember the last Great Recession?
I won’t lie and say it was easy, but I did get through to come this far. I can tell you there really is no good time to start a business. Entrepreneurs have always started a business when a need arose—in good times and bad times. In other words, they saw the problem and came up with a service or a product to fix the problem.
Why Is Now Such a Good Time to Start Your Business?
At this moment like never before, individuals are changing to working a traditional job to working online via the web, email, and other collaborative tools such as Skype and Zoom. Furthermore, online businesses are the ones individuals are really purchasing from and the ones making an ongoing profit. It is a blessing to have the option to work online at home at this moment, and individuals need you and your services.
There are many individuals who need assistance in a variety of ways that your business may have the option to assist them. Also, this is an extraordinary time for you to be able to bring in some cash so you can keep on supporting yourself and your family.
What One Woman Did
For instance, I recently heard of a fitness coach who had to close out her classes at the gym because of the coronavirus. However, she came home and started pay-as-you go online fitness and wellness classes for those stuck at home waiting to see when all the stores, schools, and businesses reopen. Just because these people are waiting, doesn’t mean that they don’t need to work out.
In fact, these same individuals also need more than just a workout. Chances are that they will need help with their kid’s homework. So, this might be a good time to become an online tutor in a particular subject.
Let’s see. They will probably also need help with additional services such as:
- A way to stay home and cook healthy meals with the food they have in their homes or on a much tighter budget.
- A way for a “mom and pop” business to get online knowing very little about technology.
- A way to relax and stop worrying about the outcome of the coronavirus.
- There are people freaking out and dealing with a lot of anxiety, and need help.
Are you getting a feel for all of the ways in which you could be helping those stuck at home?
No Matter What Type of Business You Are In—You Can Do This
So, no matter what type of freelance service you are offering you should be able to look around you and see an opportunity in the midst of this crisis. Even if you play a musical instrument, there should be an opportunity for you to create a music video on YouTube to address stress or something.
Once this whole coronavirus pandemic ends, you should be ready to stay online with your business and just keep running. The time is right to stay the course and concentrate on growing your business or finally getting started with one once and for all. Quitting at this time, may cost you huge amounts of business.
This is an incredible time to concentrate on your business and truly focus on making it work for the last time. On the off chance that you stop now, you’ll have lost significant energy in your business for when this all passes. And believe me, it will eventually pass.
I understand that for certain individuals proceeding to work right now probably isn’t an option. You just have too much going on with children at home and too many things in which to contend. However, for the individuals who DO have the capacity to proceed—do it.
Envision how it would feel to NOT need to go out this week, to have the option to be able to remain at home with your children when school is out and to not put your family at risk by going out.
The entire WORLD wishes they had an online business at this moment. There is no better time to get yours up and running, so that with retirement looming around the corner and social security looming around the corner if your 9-5 employment IS closed or completely eliminated you can have money coming your way. They wish they had found their independent livelihood.
